Dr. Adams will begin the exam on the outside of your mouth, assessing your Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) for pain and dysfunction, muscles and soft tissues of your head and neck for pathology, as well as looking at your nose and evaluating your nasal airways. As she moves into your mouth she will screen for oral cancer, assess your oral airways, check your teeth for cavities, tooth wear and or erosion, and your gums for gum disease. She will check the way the teeth function together, as well as identify any need for braces or clear aligners. Our office does not provide orthodontic services, but we often recognize a patient’s need to consult with an orthodontist and we can make a referral to a trusted partner.
If you are in excellent shape and just need a dental cleaning, we typically take care of this during your first visit. Some patients may need to return for additional areas of treatment, whether that be a filling, same day crown, or replacement of a missing tooth.
If you have gum disease, we are motivated to help you control the disease and keep your teeth! With proper protocol of scaling and root plaining, or with periodontal maintenance, this is possible.
Perhaps you are looking to brighten your smile with in-office whitening or take-home whitening options. We have that too! Once you have become a patient and we have addressed your dental needs, you will have the opportunity to participate in our whitening for life program!
For patients who are looking for cosmetic dentistry or oral regeneration, like dental implants and multiple crowns to restore function, we would be happy to consult with you on the different possibilities.
If you are looking to have a tooth extracted or options to replace missing teeth with a dental implants, removable partial or full denture, we do that too!
Other specialty services we offer include: custom oral appliances for control of obstructive sleep apnea, when CPAP is not indicated, or if a patient is unable to tolerate CPAP therapy. Night guards and occlusal splint therapy for TMJ pain and/or dysfunction.
We also offer services for perioral enhancements with dermal fillers and Botox.
If you think we are the office that is right for you, please contact us today! We can’t wait to meet you!
