In cases where several teeth are missing, a full denture or removable partial denture may be indicated. A full denture is indicated when a patient has no teeth present. A full denture can either be held in place when attached to dental implants, or removable when fabricated to fit over the gum tissue and jawbone. A partial denture is indicated when a patient is missing a few or more teeth and dental implants or bridges are not a viable option.

While removable dentures have their advantage, some cases may be better suited for fixed dentures. Fixed dentures are inserted into the gums with implants. This option allows more stability and strength without having to worry about dentures coming loose or falling out.
